Amir M. Ghaznavi, MD, is a dual-boarded Plastic and Reconstructive surgeon in the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Cleveland Clinic Florida, a position he has held since 2016. Dr. Ghaznavi’s interests include complex reconstructive and oncologic surgery, in addition to cosmetic surgery of the breast and body. He completed his rigorous medical training at St. George’s University School of Medicine. Upon completion, he went on to complete a full general surgical residency and became board-certified in General Surgery. He then went on to complete his plastic surgery training at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. Once he obtained his board certification in plastic surgery, he then completed advanced training in microvascular surgery at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. He became an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Case Western University. As an academic surgeon, he has authored many peer-reviewed publications in medical journals as well as co-authored book chapters in plastic and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Ghaznavi’s special interests include complex oncologic head and neck surgery, breast surgery and breast reconstruction surgery, including microsurgical breast reconstruction, body contouring surgery (including liposuction and abdominoplasty), facial rejuvenation and eyelid surgery, as well as Botox® and injectable fillers. He is one of few physicians in the state who perform post-masectomy sensory restoration surgery.
